C & S Wholesale, one of the nation’s largest grocery distributors, selected Harvey to address how their facility real estate needs were being challenged by the company’s rapid growth. Harvey’s initial assignment was to assist with the development of a new state-of-the-art corporate office complex to house the company’s corporate move from Vermont, however, due to the pace of growth, C & S redirected real estate goals to renovating existing buildings in Keene, NH which could be easily fit-up to house large numbers of corporate and management personnel. The first building involved renovations of a 90,000 square foot office building, and 5,000 square feet of data center, generator and UPS system space on Optical Avenue. The work involved extensive sitework, demolition and replacement of critical infrastructure. Harvey’s team developed streamlined communication systems to encourage quick decisions and maintain a fast-tracked construction schedule. Harvey also managed renovations of an additional 100,000 square foot building, in Keene, for office and data center use; and the expansion and renovation of an existing 117,000 square foot distribution center in North Easton, MD.
